The 90's a Birth of a Fan Club

Year One - April 1990 to April 1991

Sunday April the 15th. 1990 - The idea of an Anime Club.

To spread Anime and its appreciation;
To supply information on other Anime clubs;
To generate a contacts list (so fans to get in touch with each other);
To supply information where to get ephemera (merchandise);
To further the understanding of Japanese culture.

To have Club meetings every Wednesday night, plus Saturday and Sunday viewings by appointment.
To Established discounts (10% off) with a Japanese bookshop in London and a Model-kit shop in Singapore for Club members.

[Note: This was real 'cut & paste', letter transfers (for fonts) and photocopied art work resized, to make the Club headed paper, Posters, flyers, and Club information leaflets\pages. ]

[Note: the first Logo used by the club was taken from a sticker I had of a super-deformed Patlabor.]

  1. Hi Carlo, I was so excited to have found you on the web tonight... I don't know if you remember of me but I've been a subscriver of your fanzine and your pen pal for some time. I also cooperated with my drawings to Anime Kyo UK... Time flies but I'm very glad to discover that you still are an anime fan... Unfortunately, my elder brother trown away all fanzines, not only yours but also The Rose... :(. I'd like a lot having at least some scans of them with my drawing and articles (I don't remember well, but maybe I've written about anime in Italy). If you still want to be in contact with me, please drop me a note, thank you and bye, Anna
    P.s.How can I send you an email?
